Managing Director of the Warren County Historical Society Michelle Gray

Michelle Gray has been employed by the Warren County Historical Society since 1999.
First serving as the office manager and, in 2006, accepting the administrative position as managing director.
A 1980 graduate of Tidioute High School and a 1996 graduate of the University of Pittsburgh at Bradford
with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Management and a minor in Accounting.
Michelle Gray has attended several archival and grant workshops to include: a series of three Archival Workshops
in 2001sponsored by PA Federation of Museums and Historical Organizations, Pennsylvania Historical & Museum Commission
and Pennsylvania State Historical Records Advisory Board; in 2003 presented by the Pennsylvania Humanities Council;
in 2005 sponsored by Senator Scarnati and a PHMC Archival & Strategic Planning workshop in 2007.
In 2010, Michelle attended Enhancing the Effectiveness of the Not-for-Profit World sponsored by the
University of Pittsburgh at Bradford and co-sponsored by The McKean County Collaborative Board. In 2011, Gray served on
the Pennsylvania Humanities Council Large Grant Review Panel. In 2016, Gray attended
"Archives Without Tears" presented by PHMC's archivists Joshua Stahlman and Anne Marie Ickes.
In 2016 & 2017, Gray served on the PHMC State Historic Marker review panel.
Gray is the editor of the Warren County Historical Society publication
Stepping Stones and the grant writer for the many archival, technical and restoration projects pursued by the organization.
Michelle is responsible for the daily operations of the organization;
to include the 210 Fourth Avenue, Warren headquarter's office facility and the
Wilder Museum of Warren County History located at 51 Erie Avenue, Irvine, Pa.
